Watertown Church of the Nazarene is a body of Jesus Christ believers, legally organized and registered as a 501c3 not for profit religious body in the United States of America and State of Tennessee, under the auspices of the Church of the Nazarene International within the boundaries of the East Tennessee District Church of the Nazarene. To know God; and to provide a climate in which each person can come to their full spiritual potential in Jesus Christ.
Watertown Church of the Nazarene seeks to worship and exhibit the life of Jesus Christ. We are committed to making Christlike disciples with the Holy Bible as our foundation and final authority; being Christian, holiness, and missional. Our polity is a combination of congregational/episcopal supported in the Manual of the Church of the Nazarene and in historical/biblical articles of faith, belief, and practice.
Vision
Watertown Church of the Nazarene embraces the world as our parish with a focus upon missions, locally and globally; teaching, learning, and performing hands-on projects. The beliefs and practices are developed and referenced from the Bible, divinely inspired and inerrant producing new and more mature Christians.
Opportunities for Worship and Spiritual Growth
We gather in the meeting room at the Depot Junction Cafe, 108 Depot Street, in Watertown. Join us between 10:00-10:30 AM every Sunday for coffee, conversation and community. Worship begins at 10:30. Come as you are! We look forward to meeting you! Children are welcome!
Ladies who have an interest in praying meet every Friday at 1:00 PM, hosted by Dot Reed at 294 Flat Rock Road, Lebanon. This group is known as the Lydia Prayer Group. All ladies (not just Watertown Church) are invited to join in this time of prayer for our families, churches, community, nation, and the world.
All men are invited to meet for breakfast and fellowship twice monthly at 9:00 AM. The Men’s Breakfast group meets at Uncle Pete’s Restaurant, 1210 Sparta Pike, Lebanon on the second Wednesday of each month, and at Shoney’s, 814 S. Cumberland St. in Lebanon the last Wednesday of each month.
We turn our focus regularly to missions, with current information and prayer challenges and welcome missionaries serving in various global areas to be our guests as schedules allow. We stay connected to missionaries serving with the global Church of the Nazarene.
