Greetings to everyone,
I do trust you have not had any negative repercussions from the storms and high temperatures this past week. We have had our very first worship service in Watertown as of last Sunday. It was a wonderful time and folks are excited to be right on the square in Watertown. In fact, the address is the Adopted Farmhouse and Coffee Company @ 100 Public Square. Our webmaster is developing our website and in a few more days it will be up and functioning. We had nine in worship and that is right in the middle of summer vacations and other activities. Our times of worship are each Sunday morning at the Adopted Farmhouse Coffee Company from 10:00 till noon. We will have a “Meet and Greet” time from 10:00 until 10:30. Worship will begin promptly at 10:30. Check the ad in the Watertown Express and in a couple more weeks it will expand to the Wilson Post. In addition, we continue with our “House Church” concept on Sunday evenings at our home at 294 Flatt Rock Road, Lebanon, and midweek Cottage Prayer Meetings at the home of Jim and Pat Bean 107 Lone Pine, Lebanon. These two avenues are in keeping with making missions (both home and world) the center and anchor of our mission and purpose for doing our part in reaching around the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Other times and opportunities of ministry, worship and Christian fellowship are listed below:
- Each Monday at the Depot Junction Café in Watertown we conduct a Neighborhood Bible Study from 1130 until 1245. We are presently in the book of Proverbs which is a very practical and relevant study. You are invited to attend, Bring your Bible and invite a friend. This is a verse-by-verse Bible study approach.
- Each Friday there is a Lydia Prayer Meeting at our home 294 Flatt Rock Road, Lebanon. It is a group of ladies who gather to pray for our families, nation, and the world for revival. You are invited to attend.
- The last Wednesday of each month our men gather at Shoney’s on South Cumberland in Lebanon for a Men’s Coffee break and chat. You are invited to attend.
Thank you for your prayers for Watertown Church of the Nazarene and the surrounding community. Think about this —Nashville news stations announced this week that there are an average of 100 persons moving into the Greater Nashville area each WEEK!! What a mission field
